The dogs, people, and mission of Dogs Inc have become near and dear to my heart. I serve as a member of their Mission Advancement Council, helping create awareness of this remarkable organization and their important work.
I’m so enthusiastic about this one-of-a-kind nonprofit that I wanted to share it with you. Their extraordinary dogs transform lives throughout the country—at no cost to recipients.
What makes their pups so special? Top-notch pedigrees. And countless hours of training and love. These highly skilled wonders turn darkness into light for people with vision loss. Restore freedom for veterans. Heal broken hearts for children struggling with loss.
And these dogs never ask for anything in return. Neither does Dogs Inc. They offer clients their loyal, furry friends, expert instruction, and lifetime support completely free of charge—thanks to big-hearted donors and volunteers.
Dogs Inc has earned my trust. They’ve consistently scored Charity Navigator’s highest rating for many years.
Join Me on Campus
If you’d like to learn more about Dogs Inc, I invite you to join me in attending one or more of these events taking place on their Palmetto, Florida campus.
- A guided walking tour takes us inside their state-of-the-art facilities to witness how they transform their adorable puppies into highly skilled working dogs.
- The Beyond the Dark event demonstrates how these dogs take people with vision loss and veterans with disabilities beyond the darkness to a world of hope.
- Unseen Worlds takes us on a journey beyond sight. In this exclusive, interactive event, we’ll see a virtual-reality park from the perspective of someone with vision loss, hear from a graduate, and walk while holding the harness of a skilled guide dog.
- Commencement celebrates the achievements of a graduating class of guide dogs and their new forever friends. This inspiring luncheon includes a brief ceremony and an alumni guest speaker. Some upcoming dates include May 11, June 29, and August 12.
