Donate Today
For those unable to attend, we appreciate your donation of any amount. Your generous gift will be used to fund scholarships for our veterans’ programs.
Double your donation—your gift will go twice as far! Caring supporters have pooled their resources to create the 2024 Heroes Challenge. The Dogs Inc Heroes Council will match your gift, dollar for dollar, with all proceeds supporting the extraordinary dogs that make a difference in the lives of veterans and their families. 100% of your contribution is tax-deductible and will support veterans’ programs at Dogs Inc, a 501(C)(3) charity.
From its meager beginnings in 2004, the 2023 event raised $21,000 with over 100 walkers and 175 donors. Since its inception, the Stoneybrook Walk N Talk has resulted in over $170,000 gifted to Dogs Inc.
Your donations fund scholarships that provide service dogs to veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder and other disabilities, as well as guide dogs to veterans with vision loss, facility therapy dogs that provide therapeutic services to veterans and families being treated in military medical facilities, and gold star family dogs that provide loving companionship to military children and families who have lost a loved one in service to the nation. Every gift makes a tremendous impact on the heroes who need these life-changing dogs.

At this year’s event, we will welcome a special guest, Army Veteran Russell Smith, and his service dog, Mustang. Russell served eight years in the Army and was deployed twice to Iraq. An accomplished trumpet player, Russell was assigned an additional duty to play Taps at all too frequent memorials. The sound of exploding IEDs and mortar attacks were a constant reminder that he would, once again, be playing Taps for a fallen friend in arms. After Russell’s discharge, the lingering effects of post-traumatic stress kept him isolated and hyper-alert with frequent and severe anxiety attacks. “I got here (Dogs Inc) Sunday, nervous and stressed, and I met Mustang Monday, and he completely changed my life. I smiled more in the first three days of class than I’d smiled in a long time. He has my back and will be there for me no matter what.”
The minimum donation is $25.00 per person for those participating in the live event. The donation includes coffee and breakfast.
