Get a Life-Changing Service Dog at No Cost
A service dog from Dogs Inc means greater freedom and support in everyday life, and you don’t pay anything.
From interrupting panic attacks and creating space in crowded places to retrieving items and providing support when it matters most, our dogs help make everyday life feel more manageable and independent.
“Dogs Inc is a lifesaver. The dogs they raise are not just dogs. They restore freedom.”
— U.S. Navy Veteran Michael Edmondson with Service Dog Archer
How a Service Dog Can Help
Dogs Inc service dogs learn 15-20 advanced skills, each designed to assist with challenges related to post-traumatic stress or mobility limitations.
For veterans living with PTSD, these skilled dogs can follow “grounding” cues to help interrupt panic attacks and flashbacks, turn on a light in a darkened room, and indicate when someone approaches from behind. They also learn cues like “chin” to provide physical touch that creates a positive emotional response.
Veterans often describe them as “battle buddies” in civilian life, where they now can experience renewed connections with loved ones and society.
How We Can Help
Extraordinary Dogs
Every service dog begins learning at just two days old. As puppies, we socialize and expose them to the world, building the confidence and resilience they’ll need for the important work ahead.
Your service dog’s role goes beyond trained skills, providing support and companionship as you navigate everyday life together.
Purposeful Matches
Our instructors get to know your lifestyle, personality, and individual needs, carefully matching you with a service dog who complements your daily life. Temperament, size, energy level, and many other factors are considered to create a partnership built to last.
Once you arrive on campus, you’ll meet your dog and instructor. With a low instructor-to-student ratio, you’ll receive personalized training as you learn to work together and build a strong, lasting bond.
Ongoing Support
Greater freedom and support shouldn’t come with a price tag. That’s why we provide your world-class service dog, premium dog food, annual veterinary care, and monthly flea and tick preventatives for free.
Because a service dog partnership is an ongoing journey, we also offer online, phone, and in-home support, as well as financial help for unexpected veterinary costs. You focus on living your life to the fullest. We’ll be here to support your partnership along the way.
