Learn & Earn Manager Rollout (+Timesheet Management) - Dining Hall of Student Center

We are reintroducing an initiative many of you may remember from a few years ago: PAWS University. With the help of a task force (Lisa O’Kane, Christina Fenton, Suzy Wilburn, and Cymberly Pierce), we are reviving this concept with a shiny new name: Learn-n-Earn.
This initiative will offer targeted training opportunities for all staff, with the added incentive of earning AAP for each training attended. Just as before, some trainings will be mandatory and others voluntary, with AAP accrual rates flexing accordingly. We’ve also expanded the program to include a variety of continuing education opportunities for all staff members and specially-designed leadership trainings for our managers and other leaders. These will cover important topics such as effective communication, performance management, and handling difficult conversations.
Please note that many of these events are still in development, so there may be some adjustments or substitutions in the coming months. Our plan is to announce this initiative to staff members in a few weeks, once our RSVP system is officially set up. After that, we will send regular updates a few weeks in advance of each training to ensure everyone is informed and prepared.
To kick off Lean-n-Earn and address any questions you may have, we are hosting a department director meeting on Tuesday, August 20th, from 10–11 a.m. in the Dining Hall. During this meeting, we’ll answer any questions about the initiative and discuss our plans further. Additionally, we’ve received feedback that some of you may have questions about approving PTO and timecards in Paycom, so we’ll cover those topics as well.
